On May twenty-fourth, Donald Trump will visit the Pope at the Vatican. The Vatican announced today that Donald Trump will visit him. He will also talk with other members as well. During his visit there, he will go to Israel and Saudi Arabia. After going there, he will attend a meeting in Brussels. According to catholic agency news, the pope and the president haven't always been getting along. In February, the pope said that those who build wall aren't Christian. A week later, Donald Trump said the pope is a “pawn” for the Mexican government and “a very political person” who does not understand what the United States is going through. I feel like that it is good that the Pope and the President are going to meet. There are many issues going on right now. The President can fill the Pope in about the problems in the United States and the Pope can offer his advice. Besides, as Catholics, when we go into politics, we have to do the right thing. For example, if we’re talking about abortion, the catholic view would be that it’s against what we believe. Donald Trump is against abortion and as Catholics we don’t believe in it. Maybe if they work together, they might come up with something to stop a certain problem. God knows why these things happen. You never know, it might be the start of something amazing. Maybe the Pope meeting the President will help the United States and the world.
